The massive BP oil spill has causes complications for animals above the water and the creatures below the water. The oil in the shrimping waters is causing a very big impact on the livelihood of the people who shrimp for a living. On a good night for shrimping, 1,000- 1500 pounds of shrimp could be caught and subsequently sold at $3 a pound. This is not the case any longer.
